Our ceremony will be held outside on grass or undercover if it is raining. Our reception will be held inside.
Yes! The ceremony will be outside, with the reception within a short walk.
We’re catching the end of winter, so the weather should be cool and lovely - sunshine during the day and a chill in the air once the sun goes down. Daytime temperatures are usually around 16–17°C, dropping to about 7–8°C in the evening.
August is one of the clearest months of the year in Kangaroo Valley, so we’re hoping for gorgeous skies on the day! That said, we’d recommend bringing a warm jacket or coat for the evening, as the sun will begin to set around 5pm.
Our dress code is semi-formal - somewhere between dressy and relaxed.
More specifically, that could be:
For ladies: cocktail dresses, dressy skirts or pants with a nice top, or a chic jumpsuit.
For gents: dress pants with a button-up shirt, with or without a blazer or tie. A suit works too if you’re feeling fancy!
We’ll be spending some time outside on grass, so keep that in mind when choosing footwear (block heels or flats are a good idea!).
Since it’s late winter in Kangaroo Valley, we also recommend bringing a coat or warmer layer to stay warm once the sun goes down (although we’ll be heading inside then).
We can’t wait to see you looking stylish, comfy, and ready to celebrate with us!
Our wedding catering will be vegetarian. When you RSVP, please let us know of any other dietary requirements.
No, this will be a dry wedding with nice non-alcoholic drinks.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all.
If you’d like to honour us with a gift, a contribution to our honeymoon fund or home fund would be deeply appreciated.
We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony processional and recessional to allow everyone to be fully present.
If you would like to take a quick photo during the ceremony, you may, however we request that you do not move from your seat or hold your phone or camera in the way of the photographer or other guests - you want to be as subtle as possible!
We’d love for you to capture memories with your phone or camera after the ceremony and during the reception! However, please do not share any photos on social media before we do. Thank you for helping us make this day special and memorable for us.
We kindly request that guests avoid wearing white, ivory, or any colour close to it.
